Contract SQA Engineer


Job Title: Contract SQA Manager
Location: Headquarters, Littleton, MA

Description:

Join a seasoned SQA team in a dynamic and fast paced, highly technical environment. This challenging and rewarding opportunity requires a mid-level individual, who possesses strong SQA process experience coupled with knowledge of Windows, Linux and VMware ESX environments. The ideal candidate will have experience testing enterprise-class software applications in a SAN environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Installs and configures product, as well as Windows, Unix and VMWare OS configurations, used to verify correct product behavior.
  • Writes and runs complex manual and automation test cases/scripts/suites.
  • Writes bug reports, verifies bug fixes, and troubleshoots applications.
  • Reviews and comments on technical specifications and documentation.
  • Uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks with a degree of creativity and latitude.

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related technical discipline
  • 3 to 5+ years experience testing software products in a system test environment, preferably with web based SAN infrastructure management or Enterprise IT management products
  • Knowledge of SQL and skills to work with databases for data verification
  • Experience with VMWare configurations using ESX and Virtual Center servers
  • Knowledge of SAN storage and storage management systems a plus
  • Experience installing and configuring multiple OSs (Linux, Windows and ESX)
  • Strong written and verbal skills

Pluses

  • Ability to write and manage test scripts and programs in a cross-platform scripting language such as PERL or PYTHON a plus
  • Some experience installing and configuring SAN hardware and software a plus
  • Experience automating the testing of web-based enterprise management GUIs a plus
